One of the biggest changes to education today is RtI, but what is it really. Do we all have a common understanding of what this process entails. Hear from many great educational minds from all levels of education and many different states throughout the country as we work together to figure out what Response to Intervention is and what it isn't.
RtI is not a verb - you don’t “RtI a kid”, it is not TST…with a new name! It is not a way to delay Special Education services or something that only Special Educators do. It is Universal Screening and Ongoing Progress Monitoring and FORMATIVE assessments. It is Tier I/Core Instruction, Data‐Based Decision Making and Tiered Interventions.
RtI is both a school wide process and an individual student level process. It is looking at you school wide data and looking at student level data. It is about making the correct decisions for your school and your students based on the data. Find out who needs to be involved in this process. (Here's a hint, it is all of us :))
Join us Sunday night at 8 to talk all about RtI and what we all need to be doing to best support our students success. This will be the last #edchatri for this calendar year, as we will be taking a break during the Holiday vacation to be with family and friends. We will reconvene in the new year on Sunday, January 5th.
