I know for many of us today we are talking about PLN's (Professional Learning Networks), but it all began with the PLC (Professional Learning Community). For many that is still our focus as we look to create and develop one within our own school.
As Rick Dufour states a Professional Learning Community is "a focus on learning rather than teaching, working collaboratively, and holding yourself accountable to results." He has also pointed out that there are four main questions that need to be ask in the development of your PLC and they are:
How is your school functioning as a PLC? Are they addressing the issues of equity and the learning gaps? Are they working as a cohesive unit and if so how did you get there? Join us on #edchatri on Easter Sunday at 8 PM as we work together with our PLN to better develop our school's PLC.
