Blended learning is taking off across RI as more and more educators are leveraging the power of education technology to better personalize and differentiate instruction for students. More and more district leaders, principals and teachers are seeing blended learning as an opportunity and not just another initiative. Innovations like cloud based storage & touch screen mobile devices become incredibly powerful when they're partnered with national common core standards & competency based practices. The tools and resources are in no way perfect, and like everything in our complicated education space, it takes a lot of upfront work, but there is a palpable excitement around these new practices.
Join #EdChatRI this Sunday as we explore the current status of blended learning across the state of Rhode Island. Learn about the work that has been happening in West Warwick and at the RI Model School for blended learning. Learn about Fuse RI and how a cohort of 26 educator leaders from across the state are sharing their knowledge and training with leaders in 13 different Rhode Island districts and charters. From RIASP's new principal training to summer professional learning opportunities with Google & Digital Literacy.
The momentum is building and it's time to share out what's happening in #EdChatRI with the world on Twitter...this Sunday night at 8pm.
